Jeep® is participating in the
2025 Tannistest, the exclusive annual event that gathers contenders for the
prestigious title of European Car of the Year 2026. From September 20 to 25, in
the unique setting of Tannis in northern Denmark, automotive journalists from
twenty-three countries had the opportunity to test the most anticipated new
models of the year. Over several days, vehicles were put through a
comprehensive evaluation program, including mixed road conditions, urban
routes, highway stretches, and high-speed performance testing at Sindal Airport.
In this highly selective context,
Jeep showcased the all-new Compass, highlighting its redesign, versatility, and
technological innovations. The third-generation Compass has been developed to
meet the needs of a diverse European customer base, from young drivers and
families to professionals and outdoor enthusiasts, while strengthening Jeep’s
presence in the European market.
"We are proud to showcase
the New Jeep Compass at the 2025 Tannistest, a unique and highly selective
setting that represents a key milestone on the road to the European Car of the
Year award,” stated Fabio
Catone, Head of Jeep Brand in Enlarged Europe. “The New Compass embodies
Jeep’s values of capability, innovation, and sustainability, while offering a
versatile and forward-looking SUV designed around our customers’ evolving
needs. Following the launch of the First Edition in May, orders for the Compass
Altitude trim will now open."
The New Jeep Compass is more than
the successor to an iconic model; it is a proof point of how an SUV can
seamlessly bridge tradition and the future. Its design fully embodies the
essence of the “Jeep Way” philosophy, where every detail is crafted to enhance
range, efficiency, and driving stability. Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium
platform, the new Compass delivers an optimized package that significantly
improves interior space, versatility, and aerodynamic performance. Safety and
driver assistance are also at the heart of its development, with a
comprehensive suite of next-generation ADAS technologies standard on all
versions to support the driver in every situation. Moreover, standard Level 2
autonomous driving across the entire range ensures added confidence and
comfort, whether on long journeys or navigating busy city streets.
The New Jeep Compass is available
with two electrified powertrains designed to suit different needs. The e-Hybrid
delivers 145 hp with a 48V system, ensuring smooth efficiency and allowing over
half of urban journeys to be completed in full-electric mode without external
charging. For those seeking full-electric mobility, the BEV Standard Range
combines 213 hp and 345 Nm with up to 500 km of WLTP range, supported by a
regenerative braking system that maximizes energy recovery and driving
dynamics.
The new Jeep Compass redefines
the driving experience with a suite of Connected Services, available both
onboard and remotely. Designed to enhance convenience, safety, and peace of
mind, these features bring smart mobility to customers’ life.
All services are included in the
vehicle’s price through two packages:
·
Connect
ONE: Included for 10 years, it offers essential services for assistance and
security, charging management, and preconditioning.
· Connect PLUS: Included for 12 months for the First
Edition, and 6 months for other versions, it adds advanced features such as
connected navigation, remote operations, theft assistance, voice control and
much more.
Thanks to the new Jeep 2.0 mobile
app, drivers can easily monitor battery levels, check vehicle status and
position, locate nearby charging stations, and schedule charging sessions
tailored to their lifestyle.
An innovation designed for the
new Compass is Digital Key: a virtual key stored on the customer's smartphone. Drivers
can say goodbye to physical keys-no more worries about losing or damaging them.
They can even be shared via text message, offering seamless access for family
or friends
Jeep has opened orders for the
new Altitude trim of the Compass, expanding the lineup with a well-equipped
package available across e-Hybrid and Full Electric version. The e-Hybrid
Altitude features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting with automatic high-low
beam, power-folding mirrors, comfortable cloth seating with lumbar adjustment,
advanced driver assistance systems, wireless smartphone integration, dual-zone
climate control, and the Selec-Terrain system with Auto, Sport, Snow, and
Sand/Mud modes. The safety dotation of Altitude remains at the state of the art
with standard features such as the adaptive cruise control and the lane
position assist working together providing the level 2 autonomous drive. Standard
front and rear parking sensors will facilitate every manouver and the combination
of 10,25” full TFT digital cluster and 16” infotainment screen will guarantee an
intuitive and convenient experience. The BEV variants distinguish themselves
with 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a multilink rear suspension scheme.
With these updates, the Altitude trim enhances the Compass by combining
technology, safety, and everyday comfort with Jeep’s signature off-road
capability, offering customers a broader and more versatile choice of
electrified powertrains.
